Who Is Nick Kawakami?

Born and raised on the island of O‘ahu, in the valley of Mānoa, Nick Kawakami has a passion for not only the beauty of Hawai‘i but for the music and arts as well. He is a multi-talented professional who brings a unique approach to the real estate market in Hawai‘i. Does that mean I should avoid the rain and never play here again?  No.  Bear a little discomfort and enjoy the chance to get beautiful sunny days like this.  Also... that’s my drive right in front of the green.  NBD.
Breakfast anyone? You don’t see very many dedic Breakfast anyone?  You don’t see very many dedicated nooks like this anymore, so I fangirl 🔥🐒 when I see these old home design treats.  This one was also complete with plastic covers on the cushion, just like Grandma used to do it!
Last one in the books for July! This one WAS a do Last one in the books for July!  This one WAS a doozie, capped off with a delayed closing because of Hurricane Douglas.  Obviously thankful that Dougie didn't do any real damage, but I'm happy my clients were patient and flexible through the whole thing!  I've never seen a buyer have so much passion to get the house of their dreams!  One more shout out to @sherriekimata team for a great escrow, @locomocolover for the loan help, and the Seller's team of @alohatony & @kaleovai!  850 meals are going to the @hawaiifoodbank on behalf of my clients!
The New Normal. Got to be a part of one of the fi The New Normal.  Got to be a part of one of the first virtual signing appointments with @tghawaii!  Instead of going to a branch or having a mobile notary in the home, we were able to stay socially distant in my client’s home and have important documentation legally notarized over a video conference!  Definitely something I will be offering to my future closings, and something I hope will continue even after the emergency order is lifted.
Waikiki in the books too! I'll be honest, I thoug Waikiki in the books too!  I'll be honest, I thought this one would be a doozie since it was a condo in a tourism-heavy real estate market, but Ann & I pulled it off!  Thankfully, we had realistic clients who understood the situation and we're willing to work with the Buyer to make this happen!  Thanks to their attitude, 200 meals will be donated on their behalf to the @hawaiifoodbank!  Thanks again also to @sherriekimata of @tghawaii for being a great Escrow partner!
SHOCKED AGAIN! Can't believe that's my face for t SHOCKED AGAIN!  Can't believe that's my face for two months in-a-row!  Again, so hard to fathom that I'd be up for this among all the veterans and top producers with @marcusrealty, but grateful to my clients nonetheless.  Without their trust and without the help of great Escrow, loan, and real estate agents, I would not have been able to pull this off!  Plus, This means that I'm able to help the @hawaiifoodbank even more this month and hopefully support more Hawaii families!
My first time helping both the Seller and Buyer ha My first time helping both the Seller and Buyer has closed!  Pumped to have represented the Sellers and helped the Buyers buy this beautiful view up in Waialae Nui!  Views stretching from Diamond Head and ready for the family to enjoy for many years to come!  Plus BONUS, another 1,750 meals donated to the @hawaiifoodbank on their behalf!  Thanks to @sherriekimata and the @tghawaii team for another great Escrow!
Yesterday afternoon, @rrhymeswithorigami and I did Yesterday afternoon, @rrhymeswithorigami and I did our usual afternoon beach walk with the dog.  We noticed the unusually large surf and made jokes about the high number of surfers and onlookers—it was like Kailua Bay turned into Sunset Beach shorebreak-edition!  Anyway, I stopped to take this photo of a huge log that had been left on the beach by Hurricane Douggie, and thought about how lucky we were to have been spared whatever turbulence this log had seen.  Kinda feels like the first win for 2020, and now we now have a new Instagram-friendly landmark that will forever remind me of that.
