Determining how much you can actually afford can be a complicated process, and only a trained loan officer or mortgage broker can give you a realistic picture of your financial situation. I can’t tell you the heartbreak that happens when a buyer has used Zillow to calculate their potential, only to find out they can’t actually afford the dream home they expected.
There are tons of great loan officers and mortgage brokers here on the island, each with different rates and programs, but finding the right fit is key for a happy purchase! I recommend asking friends and family for referrals, seeking out advice from trusted sources and finding someone who you trust and knows their stuff!
