Open House Tour: Kailua

January 22, 2015 By Nick Kawakami

Got a chance to head over to the broker’s open houses today, and focused my tour on the Kailua area. The following is a list of homes I was able to see, and let me know if you have any questions.

Full List: http://matrix.hicentralmls.com/DE.asp?k=172639X72RC&p=DE-3780936-156

701 Old Mokapu Rd.
First stop in the morning was a hidden oasis in Kailmalino. The lowest priced offering in the area, this three bedroom, two bath house features a cypress tree courtyard and Japanese garden. Listed at $1.298 Million, this house is cool and comfortable, with a very large kitchen, library, and even has a built-in vacuum system!

142 Pukoa St.
Next up was a four bedroom, 3.5 bath newly built home on Pukoa St. The main house is a two-story structure, while the separate cottage overlooks the pool area. Plenty of garage space, storage space, and workshop space, perfect for water toys, motorcycles, and cars. Listed at $2.248 Million, the styling is modern chic, and has everything you would ever want in a home.

522A Halela St.
Among the oceanfront properties I chose to see today, I also picked a few away from the beach. The first was 522A Halela, a three bedroom, 1.5 bath, cute cottage. It’s tucked away and surrounded by bushes, making the lanai area a great entertaining space. New paint, and new roof, it’s priced at $775,000.

701 Kihapai St.
Last on today’s list, further up the valley, was at 701 Kihapai. This three bedroom, two bath house was completely remodeled in 2004a dn the main living/kitchen area is wide open for flexibility. The house also features two back decks leading to an open back yard which lends itself well to entertaining. Listed at $885,000, it has a lot of great features.

Three days a week, I visit open houses around O’ahu. This summary is a list of the open houses I visited, however they may not be available when you read this post. I am also restricted from posting about all the listings I visited, so contact me directly for a complete list. All listings are property of the owner, information is not guaranteed, and you should always consult your favorite real estate agent (hopefully me!) for the most up to date information. Last disclaimer is that I took all these photos, and any opinions expressed are my own.
