Brokerages of the Future Will Resemble Marketing Companies

TL;DR for all my family/friends/clients and anyone else who’s not involved in the real estate industry: future real estate agents will be much more marketing-savvy, and brokerages of the future will need to be set up to provide much more marketing support. I myself, am making a commitment to building a marketing team that will help me long into the future.

The Debut of “Agent O‘ahu”

When I started researching my transition into real estate, I was hit with a very hard fact…
Within the Honolulu Board of Realtors, there are roughly 5,500 licensed real estate agents, with about half currently practicing. On the entire island of O‘ahu, there are only about 4,000 new listings on the market annually. That’s less than two transactions available per active agent, and with veterans occupying a good chunk of that 4,000, that leaves a very small window for me.
