Top Honolulu Real Estate Agents for 2014

December 6, 2014 By Nick Kawakami

Since 1998, the Honolulu Board of Realtors has recognized outstanding service through their “Aloha ‘Āina REALTOR® Awards Program.” Each year, members are nominated by their clients and the public at large and are awarded by excelling in the real estate profession.

Last night, two Marcus & Associates realtors won awards for the 2014 year! Congratulations goes out to my fellow residential colleagues Leslie McCabe and Peter Lee, who exemplified the Marcus way with outstanding service! I am proud to work alongside these wonderful people, who are now considered among the top residential real estate agents!

The seflish benefit for me is the support these two, along with the other 17 outstanding residential real estate agents, will be giving me. Numerous awards pepper the landscape of the office, and I am so glad that I chose this office to work for.

If you are looking for top residential real estate agents, to help you with your Honolulu real estate needs, use my contact form and I will be happy to help you!

Flexibility Tested Already?!

August 20, 2014 By Nick Kawakami

News flash for those that don’t know me: I am a perfectionist. I like plans, making plans, executing plans, and imagining a perfect outcome in every situation in life! One of my goals for personal growth during my upcoming trip around the U.S. is to be more flexible and embrace imperfections. I thought this would probably come a simple form, like not planning where I eat before I get to a city, but already my patience has been tested in a BIG way! Enjoy the Moment vs. Photograph the Memory

July 16, 2014 By Nick Kawakami

iPhone vs. DSLR

As a part of my preparations for my trek up and down the coastal United States, I have to decide how I want to document my adventure.

Whenever I travel, my gear can include a DSLR camera (big boy camera), lenses, tripod, batteries, cards, steadicam, GoPro and accessories, not to mention the equipment to support all of it, like a computer and card reader. It was not unusual for me to carry a whole backpack just of camera gear, weighing over 30 lbs, just so I could capture moments in the highest possible quality. My goals varied from corporate marketing to personal memories, but I always wanted to make sure I had gotten everything superbly documented. So, why is this trip different? Ladies & Gentlemen, We Have A Slight Change In Course…

July 11, 2014 By Nick Kawakami

A little while ago, I saw a post from my nomadic friend Dustin Wong, called “Your Lifestyle Has Already Been Designed (The Real Reason For The Forty-Hour Workweek).” To give you a little background, I have known Dustin since preschool and he recently left his steady engineering job to travel around the US in a van and become a photographer.

The First Post is Always A Welcome Message!

June 13, 2014 By Nick Kawakami

Remember the old United Airlines flights to the mainland? I remember boarding the plane and on the CRT monitors around the airplane, they scrolled countless ways to say “Welcome” in different languages. “Bienvenido.” “ようこそ.” “Willkommen.” “Welkom” Then, the scroll would fade out, and a dramatic fade-in would say in triumph, “Welcome.” [Read more…] about The First Post is Always A Welcome Message!
